My name is Vicki Watkins and love to draw. My main mediums that I work in is pen and pencil.
I live in the beautiful countryside of Dartmoor. As I look out from my window I can see the ever changing moor. I am very privileged to live in a beautiful place which holds a lot of inspiration for me.As a child I was bought up on a farm which is where the love of animals started. Now as an adult I have my little sidekick Tilley who is a Sprocker Spaniel and my little friend Zippy the Bearded Dragon.
It seemed inevitable that I would end up drawing animals. I enjoy drawing any type or species.My style is normally very different from my Rhinoceros that I compelled for this project. I draw the animal then fill in with intricate patterns. This is normally completed in a black pigment pen.
It is only in recent years that I have found some confidence to share my drawings. I haven’t quite yet found that extra bit of confidence needed to launch online. However who knows what the future may hold!!
I would love to peruse the artist within me more. It is something that I will be looking more into very soon.
